Very Accepted, Very Loved

John 6:37 — All that the Father gives Me will come to me, and whoever comes to Me I will never cast out.

In 1 Timothy 2:4, Paul writes that it is God’s desire that all people will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. This is why the Father sent the Son, Jesus Christ, to the world to offer His life as a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:6). It is the Father’s will “that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life” (John 6:40). And the beauty of this is that all who come to Jesus are accepted and never cast out.

Never cast out. Never an outcast. God’s children maybe cast out by the world and labeled outcasts, but they will always be accepted by God in Christ. Once a person has been born again into God’s family, he or she cannot reverse that process and God will not undo it either. Once you are in Christ you will never be cast out.

To be born again is to be regenerated. When you were physically conceived by your parents, you received half of your genetic code from your father and half from your mother. Your DNA is unique to you and it cannot be changed.

When you came to Christ for salvation, you were regenerated—you were born a second time, you were born again spiritually. With this new, spiritual birth you received spiritual DNA that is unique to you that cannot be changed. If believers were given spiritual paternity tests, all of us would see that we have the same Father. Just like you cannot change your biological father, you cannot change your spiritual Father.

If you have been regenerated, you will always by God’s child and you will never be cast out of God’s family. You are holy and blameless in God’s sight today, and very, very much accepted and loved.

"When you came to Christ for salvation, you were regenerated—you were born a second time, and you were born again spiritually."

My identity in Christ is more important than my identity as an Americans or Koreans or as a Asian women's or as a Protestant. Church is the place where I celebrate that new identity and work it out in the midst of people who have many differences but share this one thing in common. We are charged to live out a kind of alternative society before the eyes of the watching world. "When you came to Christ for salvation, you were regenerated—you were born a second time, and you were born again spiritually."
