Today’s Reading: Psalm 36:5-10
Psalm 36:7 — How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
God promises steadfast, unfailing love. The word steadfast originally meant “fixed in one place.” It has come to mean loyal, dependable, constant, faithful, sure, and reliable. A mountain, the ocean, and the sky are all steadfast. When you go to sleep at night, you will see them in the same place when you wake up in the morning. They are not going anywhere. And that is how the psalmist speaks of God’s love for us.
God’s love for us isn’t going anywhere; it isn’t going to vanish overnight. God’s love does not change. It is constant. We cannot pick up and move a mountain. We cannot stand in the ocean and stop the waves from rolling onto the shore. We cannot reach up and pull down the sky. Likewise, we cannot change or stop God’s love. We are not that powerful.
Sometimes we foolishly believe that our sin or our failure to do something will keep God from loving us. We feel sure that God can no longer love us because we do not even love ourselves. But we are wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? . . . I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:35,38,39).
If you are God’s child, be sure that He will never stop loving you. You can depend on God’s unfailing love.

“We have been sealed with His Holy Spirit.”
I remember when I first bought my house and signed the contract. But this is only while I live in this world. I have to leave everything behind. Nothing lasts forever. The only thing is the love of God that continues even after death. I belong to Him. He sealed me with the Holy Spirit and bought me forever. It is an eternal thing that will never disappear...

“Jesus has a great purpose for every one of His disciples. Walking by faith in Him and His word, you will discover His plan for you.”
When everything is not going well and there is a series of failures, “Does God really have a perfect plan for me?” There are many times when I doubt, but in hindsight, I often realize that it was God's plan. As I get older, I gradually realize that I am checking to see if I am going in the right direction. There are many ways, but I try to read the Bible every day, look at myself, and check myself through daily meditation.

“How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.Psalms36:7"
I am so lucky. As I was growing up, I often thought that Jesus would be like my father. He always loved my two brothers equally, loved his wife, my mother, unconditionally, and most of all, he retired after serving as a pastor for 42 years in the same church he pioneered and built from the beginning. Some of the babies born at that time are serving now as elders to this day. It is considered to be the fruit of my father's steadfast love similar to that of Jesus. I wish I could follow that kin…
