Seeing Unseen Things

Today’s Reading: Hebrews 11:1-8

Hebrews 11:1 — Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

God promises to help us see. There is more to this life and this world than what we can see with our physical eyes. There are some things that are so small that we need special microscopes to see them. There are some things so far away that we need special telescopes to see them. But there are some things that no manmade device could ever enable us to see.

We cannot see the supernatural realm of God, angels, and demonic spirits. That does not make them less real. This universe that we call reality will eventually pass away altogether, but the unseen realm will not pass away.

You and I have a soul and a spirit. Can you see them with a X-ray, a MRI, or a CAT scan of our bodies? No, but the soul and spirit are very real and will never cease to exist. One day our bodies will expire, but our souls and spirits will continue to live on forever, either in heaven or hell.

We do not see heaven or hell now either, but they are real places where the souls and spirits of men will spend eternity depending on whether people have received God’s grace by faith or not. How do we know this? God has revealed all these “unseen” things to us through the Bible, His written Word that we can see and read.

By faith we know, we can see, what is true. There are true things that cannot be viewed with physical eyes, but can be seen and believed by the “eyes” of faith. These true things are the most important things of all, things related to God, Truth, and Eternal Life. Having faith in the truth revealed by God will save you and give you eternal life.

I was sharing it with my children. Having confidence in Him with faith!

God's timing in your timing is different. And anything significant God is gonna do in your life is gonna take longer than you want, but it's going to be better than you could ever imagine. So the decision we have to make when things don't happen the way we want them to happen. And when we want them to happen, we say to God. I choose to trust your timing. Because His timing…
