Today’s Reading: Jeremiah 20:7-13
Jeremiah 20:11 — But the LORD stands beside me like a great warrior. Before Him my persecutors will stumble. They cannot defeat me. They will fail and be thoroughly humiliated. Their dishonor will never be forgotten.
God promises to never desert us. The prophet Jeremiah was having a difficult time. Jeremiah was seriously questioning his call from God and felt like God had tricked him into being a prophet.
There were people who hated what Jeremiah said as God’s spokesman. These people wanted him to say something that they could use to get him into trouble. Jeremiah decided that if he didn’t say anything he could not get into trouble. However, God had given Jeremiah something to say, and not saying God’s message was burning him up on the inside.
After pouring out his heart to the Lord, Jeremiah took courage in the promises God had made to him in Jeremiah 1:17-19. God had told Jeremiah, “They will fight you, but they will fail. For I am with you, and I will take care of you.”
Jeremiah remembered that the Lord stood beside him as a great, mighty, dreadful warrior. Jeremiah confessed, “They cannot defeat me.” Nothing and no one can stand against us because God is on our side (Romans 8:31) to deal with our enemies.
But even after saying all of this, Jeremiah relapsed into discouragement for a time. Isn’t Jeremiah just like us? Up one moment and down the next! Jeremiah’s discouragement did not change the fact that God was on his side fighting for him because the Lord never deserts us. God’s grace never fails to hold us up when we stumble in weakness. Hallelujah! God’s grace is all we need, and His power works best in our weakness.

“His power works best in our weakness.”
When you are weak you are strong...
It's a paradox...
I also remember these words whenever I feel weak.
Let's relax.
“That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:10 NLT

“그분의 능력은 우리의 연약함 속에서 가장 잘 역사합니다.”
네가 약할 때 너는 강하다..
역설이다..
나도 내가 약할 때마다 이 말씀을 기억한다..
힘빼자.
“그래서 나는 그리스도를 위해서 약해지고 모욕을 당하고 가난하며 핍박과 괴로움받는 것을 기뻐하고 있습니다. 이것은 내가 약할 그 때에 강해지기 때문입니다.”
