Isaiah 41:10 — Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.
In Isaiah 41, God unashamedly declares His greatness and superiority. No manmade idols, no so-called “gods” can compare to the God of Jacob, the friend of Abraham. The people of Israel were foolishly relying on false gods to rescue them from their enemies. God ridicules those idols as foolish, worthless things that are as empty as the wind.
God states that He is in control of world events, past, present, and future. God is the First and the Last who raises up world leaders and tramples them into the dust of history. Unlike the the false gods who accomplish neither anything good nor bad, God makes promises and makes predictions and then fulfills them all.
This is why Israel is not to be afraid. God is with them. He is on their side and He is their God. God promises to strengthen, help, and uphold His people with His hand that has never been defeated. Israel’s God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the God of the believer’s salvation, is the undefeated, victorious champion of heaven and earth.
Sometimes evil and wickedness and the diabolical world system seem so powerful and strong. It can be very discouraging to watch the news and see sinful people committing acts of terrible injustice and to hear their lying voices polluting the airwaves. But God says, “Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.” Our God is greater. Our God is Almighty. And our God is so, so good. Don’t be afraid.

"Don’t be afraid "
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
[6] Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. [7] Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
When I am at a dead end in life, when I am having a hard time, when I am lost, when I am afraid, these Philippians 4:6,7 are the words that hold me up. Thank you, Lord, for holding me up...
