Today’s Reading: Revelation 22:1-5
Revelation 22:3 — No longer will there be a curse upon anything.
God promises a future without a curse. As we read about the heavenly Jerusalem in Revelation 22, we see some wonderful blessings. There is a river of life and a tree of life with leaves that bring healing. The throne of God is in the city, and people will see God’s face. There is the light of God shining on everyone and people are reigning.
This is different from life in this present world where there is a curse. People die, People get sick and experience suffering and pain. The world system rejects God and does not want God to be present in the daily lives of people. There is darkness in the world that reflects the darkness in the hearts of men, and people are not reigning, but being dominated by sin and the demonic atmosphere.
Thank God for sending His holy, sinless Son into the world to rescue us from the curse of Adam’s sin. Because of Christ’s selfless sacrifice, God gives us eternal life when we accept Christ by faith to be our Savior. We have grace to endure the pain and suffering we face, and we grow closer to God as a result. We are free from sin’s dominion, and the light of God’s love and truth illuminates our souls. We are free to commune with God all day and night.
We are experiencing the blessings of the heavenly Jerusalem right now to some extent, because what makes that new Jerusalem so heavenly is the presence of God. As believers, God is present in us in the person of the Holy Spirit, and God’s living Word resides in us.
We are blessed people. David said it well in Psalm 144:15: “Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD.” Hallelujah! The Lord is our God and we are His beloved sons and daughters. Oh, that we could truly know what that means! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy Name!

Devotional
“As believers, God is present in us in the person of the Holy Spirit, and God’s living Word resides in us. Hallelujah! The Lord is our God and we are His beloved sons and daughters.”
Nevertheless, I need the word of God endlessly. I cannot love the person I should love to the end, and I get angry and complain to myself. Am I a Christian?
Today too, I control myself with the word of God. I come before You, Lord. Help me!

“주님을 믿는 자에게, 하나님의 성령은 우리 안에 임재하시고, 하나님의 살아 있는 말씀이 우리 안에 거하십니다. 할렐루야! 주님은 우리의 하나님이시며 우리는 그분의 사랑하는 아들딸입니다.”
그럼에도 불구하고 나는 끝없이 주님의 말씀이 필요하다 사랑해야할…
