Let God Father You

Today’s Reading: Isaiah 46:3-10

Isaiah 46:4 — Even to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.

God promises to take responsibility. Babies need to be carried in the womb and after they are born, and people need to be carried away when they die. God said that He brought us into this world and He will be there to carry us to our eternal home when our time on earth is through.

God has promised to be our God for a lifetime, and that He will take responsibility for His children. Before we were born, He knew us. From the womb to the tomb He will be with us. God will patiently bear with us and also bear us up in His arms. God is not an absentee parent who ignores His sons and daughters and makes them feel like orphans.

God is actively involved in the daily lives of His children. He takes responsibility to provide for us, to teach and train us, to discipline us, and to give us practical, spiritual wisdom for life. This is because God loves us and we belong to Him.

Listen to this carefully: God has always cared about you and He always will care about you. Others may not care. Others may give up on you. But God will never give up on you because you are His child and He cares deeply for you. He has a wonderful plan and purpose for your life if you will only listen to Him and draw near to Him.

If you’ve never done so, give God a chance to be your Father. Listen to Him. Believe what He says. Obey what He says. Receive His good gifts with thanksgiving. Let Him love you. Let God have a relationship with you.

“He takes responsibility to provide for us, to teach and train us, to discipline us, and to give us practical, spiritual wisdom for life.”

He provides for me:

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

He teaches for me:

“Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭86‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

He trains me:

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we…
