In God We Trust

greatergracekorea

Psalm 32:10 — Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.

How much do you trust God? Is God completely trustworthy? Can you trust God with your heart? Can you trust God with your marriage? Your family? Can you trust God with your money? Can you trust God with your schedule? Your future? Your secrets, hopes, and dreams? Can you put everything you love and value the most into God’s hands and trust Him to do what is best with it all?

Most of us have trust issues, and likely for good reasons. We have all been let down by someone at some time in our lives. People have failed to keep our secrets, broken promises they have made to us, perhaps broken our hearts, stolen from us, and even betrayed us. There are so many disappointments in this life that make us cynical and believe that nobody can be trusted absolutely.

And along comes God who asks us to trust Him with everything in our lives. The Bible exhorts us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not to our own understanding. The Bible tells us that the Lord is to be our trust, our confident hope. Do we trust Him?

There are so many things that we trust that have the potential to fail us because they are temporal, natural, and imperfect. Objectively speaking, only the Lord God is absolutely trustworthy, and He is the only one that we can confidently expect to keep His Word and always be sure, certain, and faithful to us. We can trust God’s character and nature. He will do all things in perfect love concerning us.

God, help us to trust Your love today and entrust everything to You. Amen.
