Malachi 4:2 — But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise with healing in His wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
Growing and going. This is a biblical principle that we can see in Malachi 4:2. The sun shines on the earth and things grow. When a living thing grows enough, it goes out to share its life with others.
A plant grows from a seed. Where did that seed come from? It came from another plant that grew, and, when it was mature enough, it produced seeds which were distributed by wind, by animals, or human beings. Mighty oak trees come from tiny acorns, the seeds produced by oak trees.
A calf is produced from the union of a bull and a cow. The cow gives birth to the calf, and, when it grows to maturity, it can go out and be part of the reproductive process.
The body of Christ reproduces itself. When believers are mature enough, they can go out and plant a new church. They evangelize by spreading the seed of the Gospel. When a soul comes to Christ, he or she is discipled in the Word of God in the body of Christ and grows up into mature faith.
For a church to grow, it must go forward by faith.
