God Never Forgets Us

Isaiah 44:21 — Remember these things, O Jacob, for you are My servant, O Israel. I have made you, and you are My servant; O Israel, I will never forget you.

In Isaiah 44, God calls Himself Israel’s Redeemer, the one who formed them from the womb. Before the nation of Israel was born, God was creating and forming them to be His own special people. Although Israel eventually turned their backs on God, He had a plan to redeem the nation to Himself because He will never forget them.

Before you and I accepted Christ by faith to save us, the Lord was doing a pre-salvation work in our lives. God was working all things together for divine good, as He always does, preparing us for the moment when we were confronted by the gospel and challenged to make a decision to believe in Jesus.

Sometimes we look at our past before we came to Christ and only see wasted, ruined years; but God was already at work in our lives back then. God’s plan is incredibly deep and wide, and He had a strategy planned to bring us to the place where we would choose to let the Redeemer into our lives and make us born again.

God called Jacob/Israel His servant, even though they were not serving Him at that time. God spoke those words knowing that the Redeemer would come. God never forgets His people. They are always in His heart and mind, and He is always working to bring them into right relationship with Him. The words of the hymn say it well: “Redeemed! Redeemed! His child and forever I am!”

As long as you are living, it is never too late to experience God’s redemption and restoration.

"God never forgets His people."

The people who gave me a seriously hard time and the issues that make me really hard are the teachers who made me strong and mature in the grace of God. Is it God's blessing that came to me in disguise?

God never forgets His people.

He knows my situation.

He hears what I pray desperately.

I am always in His heart and mind, and He is always working to bring me into the right relationship with Him.

Psalms 27:1 NLT

[1] The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

Psalms 28:8 NLT
