Complete

Ephesians 3:19 — May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

God promises completeness. Food that is incompletely cooked can make you sick. A car or a building that is incompletely built is dangerous. Nobody would trust a surgeon who left his operations incomplete. Nobody would read books by an author who wrote incomplete sentences. We are not satisfied until things are finished completely.

God guarantees that His work will be complete. Jesus said “Tetelestai—It is finished” when He had completed the work of salvation on the cross. His once and for all sacrifice completely fulfilled the requirements of the Mosaic law and completely delivered us into God’s new covenant of salvation by grace through faith.

When we put our faith in Jesus Christ to be our Savior, we are made completely righteous, and we are completely justified in the eyes of the Father as one of His children. Now, the work of sanctification is being completed in our lives day by day. This is what Paul was praying for in Ephesians 4:14-21.

Paul prayed for all believers to be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Paul wanted us all to be deeply rooted in the love of Christ so that we can grow to complete spiritual maturity and experience the truth and eternal life of our Savior.

If you are not completely satisfied with yourself the way you are, that’s okay, because you are still a work in progress. Just know that you already stand complete in Christ in the Father’s eyes and are accepted in the beloved and have access to the throne of grace and mercy at all times. Rest assured that God will honor His guarantee to complete His work in you.

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

However, I am often anxious and afraid. I am growing from an insecure me to a perfect me. As a child who is completely loved by God, I must have more confidence and confidently approach the throne of grace. Don't be anxious and don't be afraid...

Thank you Jesus!
