Today’s Reading: Isaiah 43:14-21
Isaiah 43:19 — Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
God promises something new. Someday, there will be new heavens and a new earth. Jesus will be seated on the throne and say, “Behold, I am making all things new!” (Revelation 21:5) Christ will create an eternal state where there is absolutely no trace of the curse of sin (Revelation 22:3).
The new heavens and new earth will be a place “in which righteousness dwells” (2 Peter 3:13). There will be no sickness, suffering, sin, evil, or death in the new creation. God will once again dwell among His people, and we will serve and worship Him as we behold His face (Revelation 21:3; 22:3-4). We have these promises to look forward to, but even now God is doing a new thing.
If you are in Christ, you have a become a new creation (Galatians 5:17). The old things have passed away and all things have become new. What does this mean? You have a new birth (John 1:13) brought about by the will of God. By the sovereign will of God, you are new, and the old you with all of its pride, its love of sin, and its selfish dependence on the works of self-righteousness, self-justification, and self-preservation has been crucified with Christ and buried.
The old you has passed away so the new you can live a new life. One day, the new you will be thoroughly new like the new heavens and the new earth—no sin, sickness, suffering, or death will be in you, for you will be right as you should be. God is doing a new work in you today to make you ready for your eternal home with Him.
Have a blessed new day in the Lord!

Especially among Christians, many things are more difficult. We are all in the process of being sanctified. We look forward to growing according to the God's plan. We persever…
