Greetings from Seoul, South Korea! Grace Mission Church has been having services in our building again after many weeks of having only online services. Some people come to the church to worship while others are still worshiping with us online. We must wear masks, have our temperatures and some personal information taken at the door of the church, and sit apart from people in the chapel. Nobody in our church has had Coronavirus, praise God! We are thankful for His protection.
Right now it is difficult to travel to Korea. Everyone entering Korea has to be quarantined for two weeks and this is expensive and inconvenient if you are not a resident. This is the reason we have decided to change the East Asia Conference (EACON) as an online conference on Zoom and have speakers from around the globe share the Word of God with all of us here in Asia.
The dates of EACON will be July 10-12. This will be a conference beginning on a Friday evening (Korea Time) and ending on Sunday evening. We will have rap sessions after the morning and evening meetings and special afternoon sessions, one for just the women and another just for the men.
I know that some of you look forward very much to coming to Korea for our summer conference, and we are always blessed to see you and fellowship with you. But this year that does not seem possible given the government restrictions put in place to protect people from being infected by Coronavirus.
Our conference theme verse sounds more timely than ever: 2 Corinthians 3:17 — Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Wherever we may be in the world at this time, the Spirit of the Lord is with us and we can experience true liberty, even if we are confined to our homes. Keep yourselves built up in our most holy faith and plan to join us in July for the Zoom EACON.
Blessings and love to you,
