The Apostle Paul wrote these inspired words nearly 2,000 years ago: “The Lord is at hand." I believe that the trumpet could sound at any moment and Jesus will descend from heaven to meet us in the air. Christ the Bridegroom is coming for His bride, the Church. Are you ready and waiting?

The East Asia Conference is a time for us, as Christ’s church, to be prepared and adorned for our marriage to the Lamb. Because of the present limitations on travel, this year’s conference will be held online again, and you are all welcome to attend via Zoom. We expect to be made beautiful by the Holy Spirit’s ministry through the Word of God and spiritual songs. Please plan to join your brothers and sisters in Christ July 28 - August 1 for Spirit-filled online praise and worship.

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17).

Please come and drink freely with us!

Letter from the Keynote Speaker

Dear Loved Ones,

Physical death is a very powerful to get a person’s attention. It’s shocking when it happens because we know it’s irreversible. Last week, my father passed into eternity, putting off his Parkinson’s riddled body, becoming instantly free from all pain and the dread of death. According to God’s Promises, he entered into the holy presence of his Lord and Savior.

We do not mourn as those who have no hope, but rather rejoice knowing that Dad’s reality is now in heaven, and that he has finished his race, hearing the words, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.” For each of us, we too are nearing closer to the day that our time on earth will be finished. Time is precious because it is passing away. The Holy Spirit exhorts us to redeem the kairos time we are given, and to walk circumspectly because the days are evil.

With eternity in mind, Grace Mission Church and I invite all who receive this brochure to please make plans to join our 15th East Asia Conference via Zoom at the end of July. This year’s theme is “The Lord is at Hand” from Philippians 4:5, and it is our desire to be stirred up in preparation in every way for the soon return of Christ for His bride. Jesus told us, in John 14, that He has gone to prepare a place for us and He will come again to receive us unto Himself. Anticipation is building every day.

This year we are pleased to have many pastors and visitors who have visited Korea in the past, join us and share their portions afresh. We expect the Lord to lavishly bless everyone who participates, and we are praying that every heart will be knit together in God’s eternal purpose wherever we may live and labor. You are not alone. We are here to encourage one another to run well. If at all possible, don’t miss this unique opportunity to be encouraged.

As believers today, we can identify with Paul’s dilemma in Philippians 1:23-24, hard pressed between departing and remaining. We clearly understand that our time on earth is limited. As we read our Bibles and pay attention to the world around us, we can see that wonderful day approaching. There has never been a more important time for us to have our treasure in heaven, seeking the kingdom of God. This is not a time to waiver or faint. Turning back is not an option. Stand firm and strengthen the feeble knees and hands that hang down. Push forward, finish your race, because the finish line is within sight for all who are living by faith.

Maranatha, Lord Jesus!

In Christ’s Love, Pastor Steve DeVries
